Don’t Forget To Breathe
Don’t forget to take time and breathe. It sounds simple enough, because we breathe every minute. But I mean make a conscious effort to take deep breaths. I often realize that during the day of doing my daily activities, I’m taking shallow breaths. When you inhale through your nose, and exhale out of your mouth, this slows down your heart rate and helps you to release stress. Remember to be good to yourself in small ways. I like to take mid-week happy hour breathers. Instead of waiting till the end of the week to unwind, do something for yourself on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Reducing your stress can also help you to reduce your weight, (extra bonus).
When you do happy hours, think of your drink choices. Try to stay away from the extra sugary drinks to keep the calories low.
