Jeans remain a staple in just about everyone’s wardrobe. They remain the go-to item for everyday wear. So how can it be possible that jeans can get even hotter? They continue to be even more popular this season. Many women of a certain age may feel that they shouldn’t continue to wear denim jeans. But I believe that the trick is getting a well-fitting pair of jeans, don’t keep wearing the “mom jeans”. I have found that finding the right pair can be very daunting; it may take hours and countless try-ons before finding the right pair. Once you find what works, you may want to buy a couple of pairs.

What’s really hot this season are the distressed jeans; torn, faded and cuffed. Embellished denim, covered with patches, other fabrics and stones are also hot. Embellished jeans are best suited for the boyfriend jeans.

Style tips: If you wear pumps with your jeans, you should not cuff them. If you are wearing shoes with thin straps, you should have thin cuffs. If the straps on your shoes are thick, you can wear thick cuffs. Flat shoes work well with skinny jeans, and wide leg or bell-bottoms look cool with wedges or boots.

What’s so cool about jeans is that they can be paired with just about anything. You can dress them up with a jacket, silk or sequins, or make them extremely casual with a tee shirt or tank top. Jeans are so hot that they can be extremely expensive even if they aren’t designer, there are many top popular brands. You can scout resale outlets for designer jeans to save money, but be prepared to look and look for a good fitting pair. I like Chicos for many of my jeans because they have higher waists to help diminish that awful muffin-top effect.
