Houston’s first ever African Fashion Week kicked off today with a meet and greet at the Westin Hotel. This was an opportunity to hear the designer’s visions. The designers are African and and African American.
The event’s creators hope to make this an annual event, and donate part of the proceeds to habitat humanity charity.
The African Market Place will take place Friday, and the anticipated fashion show will take place Saturday.
I hope that Houston will continue this fashionable extravaganza.
