Houston Takes on African Fashion Week
Nana, a former America’s Next Top Model contestant helped with the presentation of designers.
Houston’s first ever African Fashion Week fashion show was held at the Ayva Center on Saturday, August 15. The show was wonderful to say the least. The designer’s vision of incorporating the beautiful richness of African fabric was used beautifully. The colors and textures were vibrant and exciting.
The show was long because there were numerous designer’s work shown. These are few preliminary pics of the behind the scene and attendees of this spectacular event. Stay tuned for more pics coming soon!

So sad I missed African Fashion Week! Looks like it was a success! I hope they do it again next year!

Yessss it was wonderful, I hope to see it again next year! They had so many designers, that they should have divided into two days, because some people left early (Macy’s) missed some great designs.
