NEIGHBORHOOD SHOPPING
You don’t have to go far or spend a lot of money to be fashionable. I can shop in my neighborhood in 3rd ward Houston to find some cute items. I like being able to purchase unique, and often one of a kind pieces in neighborhood boutiques. Almeda Avenue offers you great shopping with trendy little Black owned shops. Reggae Bodega at 4816 Almeda recently opened another shop next door. The first shop gives you fashionable attire as well as soaps, oils, music, and incense. The new shop is dedicated to accessories. They carry shoes, purses, scarves,and jewelry. What I like about the selections are that they are unique, so you won’t see the same item on someone else. Shopping in the neighborhood is cool because it also supports the community. When we support each other, it gives young people an opportunity to see us running our own businesses.
