LIVING MY LIFE BECAUSE IT’S GOLDEN

Life is golden and we should live each day realizing this. The second half of my life has been filled with family, friends, music, travel, and all things that make me happy!

I truly enjoy the citie’s Happy Hours.  These are excellent opportunities to check out new places and their menus and drink selections.  Margaritas are a big deal in Houston; getting them frozen are a great way to cool off in such a hot town.

 

These combat boots are what I wore to the D’angelo concert because I knew that this is a standing only venue.  A girl has to be ready and dress accordingly.

 

I took this small clutch (Loehmann’s)to tuck under my arm and not a huge purse to saddle me down.  The accessories added color and flair to the black outfit. (bracelets and ring from small independent shops around town.)

I enjoy going to concerts to hear live music.  There is something exciting and stimulating about hearing and seeing the performer do their thing in person.  In the moment of the concert, I am experiencing their joy and artistry with them.

I hosted a neo soul brunch with my Neo Soul Music Lovers friends.  I wore a tank top from H&M and a skirt from Zuvaa online African fashions. 

 

I wore these  beautiful handmade African earrings from Zuvaa online.  I made a headband from African fabric from High Fashions fabric store.   

I hosted the brunch with DJ Nimbus, a local dj and Dominique, owner of Skol bar and grille.
