LAS VEGAS BABY
I want to get my traveling on because I love venturing to different places. After meeting with the group, “Black Girls Travel Too”, I was excited about going to Las Vegas for my first trip of the summer.
I have not been back to Las Vegas in years, needless to say, it has blossomed. It was thriving, alive and full of the unexpected. Touring the Vegas Strip was very interesting. The strip has more hotels and is more crowed with all kinds of people. It is Times Square of the West. Any character you can and can’t imagine, you saw. It was a little wild for my taste; I preferred touring the themed hotel lobbies.
I was not able to check out the fashions of Vegas, but I thought this building for Prada was very interesting and cool.
The outside of the Palazzo resembled Italy and even included a gondola on the waterway.
Inside of the Bellagio was so colorful, cool, and creatively beautiful.
I came to Las Vegas for the Association of Black Psychologists Conference. The Conference is always wonderful because the topics are enlightening and extremely important for the mental health for people of color. Mental health and well-being is an important concern for me and for people in my community. I try to attend when I can. I love shopping from the vendors because I can satisfy my Afrocentric clothing and jewelry fix.

I enjoyed conference dinner with colleagues. I purchased the African print top and hoop earrings at the conference.
