BLACK LIFE AND LEGACY
I am a history buff, and I’m really passionate about learning the history of my people. I was extremely fortunate to get tickets for the opening weekend of the Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington DC, (they’re very hard to come by). My description about the museum won’t do it justice, so I included a few pics. You definitely need to check out the museum for yourself. The museum is very thorough in detail, it highlights the struggles, and achievements of black people in America. It is beautifully designed and gives you a snapshot of resilient and proud people. I felt so proud that our lives were finally captured in one place. Everyone please visit when you get an opportunity.

The museum is constructed in a beautiful, intricate lace metal design.

Four levels take you from slavery to present times.

I had a wonderful time with my sister Rhonda and good friend Ayana.

I can’t wait to go again, there is so much more for me to see!!
